How to choose your sauna

When choosing a sauna, keep in mind these key criteria:

Do you need a permit to install a sauna?

For outdoor saunas, French regulations require a pre-construction declaration at your local town hall. If your sauna’s footprint exceeds 20 m², you’ll need to apply for a building permit.

Whether you’re, it’s always best to check with your city to confirm applicable laws.

For indoor saunas, we recommend:

- A ceiling height of 2 meters

-A 10 cm gap between the cabin walls and your room walls

What's the difference between a traditional sauna and an infrared sauna?
